International Head of Media, London, £50k + benefits
The Climate Group are looking to recruit an International Head of Media; the role will be based in London with extended periods in Beijing and New York.
As the International Head of Media you will be expected to lead the global PR strategy, promote the brand and programmes, and engage public opinion in the organization's priority regions which are the US, China and Europe. 2014 is the Climate Group's 10th anniversary and it has an ambitious programme of events in place, as well as thought leadership projects and campaigns designed to drive major emissions reductions through clean tech adoption and effective climate policy. Your role will be to make the most out of these from a PR and communications perspective. You'll develop relationships with target media and manage all global media partnerships, as well as develop and implement media plans for Climate Week NYC and other major events. This is a highly varied and unique role with a truly global remit.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and strategic-minded individual. You must have a successful track record in PR and have worked at a high level with government, the corporate sector or with senior editors. Ideally you will have worked internationally, specifically within the US and China, and be a results-focussed and strong verbal and written communicator. Strong knowledge of the US media is important and it is essential you speak fluent Mandarin and English.
