Marketing & Communications
Open-minded. Independent. Imaginative. Kingston University is yours to inspire. You could soon be playing a vital part in our Communications team’s future. A great opportunity to lead and shape external and internal communications at an exciting and challenging time, you’ll work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications. Together, you’ll develop external and internal communications strategies that support the university’s objectives. You’ll also bring leadership to our communications team; developing activities and campaigns to support the university’s emerging brand positioning and profile its many areas of strength. Along the way, you’ll regularly liaise with colleagues from across the university on a range of challenging communications projects.
A seasoned communications expert with a proactive, collaborative and creative approach, you have the proven know-how to act as a trusted adviser on a range of strategic and operational communications issues. Your substantial experience of leading a communications team has given you an excellent understanding of internal and external communications in complex organisations. A proven track record of planning, managing and implementing integrated campaigns is important too, as is substantial experience of crisis communications management. We’ll also be looking for first-hand knowledge of the changing marketing and communications environment and experience of managing innovative projects.
Our recently formed marketing and communications department has been developed to integrate and enhance the university’s marketing and communications activities. As Head of Communications you will be responsible for five managers across the areas of media relations, web, design and print, internal and corporate communications and market research.
