With a range of events happening every day, the Corporate Communications Manager who takes on this maternity cover will definitely have their hands full. The role sits alongside a team of three who manage the marketing function and cover a broad range of activities, including:
- Proactive and reactive media relations across brand, trade, business and consumer activities
- Management of internal communications across both venues
- Corporate Social Responsibility and crisis and business continuity planning
- Corporate messaging and product information.
To thrive in this role, you will need a generalist background, some exposure to internal communications and experience of handling communications in the midst of a change project. You will be apt at developing media/public relations strategies and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels. You will have handled communications around crises and issues and have the gravitas and confidence to advise senior level stakeholders and assist with media advice and training.
Excellent written and oral communications skills are a given however the ideal candidate will also display sound media judgment, be very detail-oriented and have excellent networking skills. Previous client-side experience would be a bonus.
