Ellwood Atfield have been appointed by a leading independent health regulator, who are at the heart of promoting patient-centred professionalism. A position of Media and Public Affairs Manager is now available on a 12-month contract.
Reporting into the Head of Communications, you will manage media across England, Wales and Scotland, and public affairs in England. You will contribute to the development and delivery of integrated communications and engagement strategies across Great Britain, keep the organisation well informed about and engaged with relevant public affairs issues, and contribute to reputation management. You will be skilled in turning complex information into accessible reports and be used to building coalitions quickly.
With a background in public affairs or policy, you will have an excellent understanding of the ways of influencing in Westminster and Whitehall, have strong stakeholder management skills, and excellent media handling skills. Health experience is not essential but ability to pick up a brief and run is essential.
