Director, Government Affairs Pharma Brands
My client is looking for a highly experienced Director of Government Affairs to work across its portfolio of pharmaceutical brands. Expertise in GA in the UK and Brussels is essential as is experience in launching new brands in diverse and challenging markets.
This role will be instrumental in supporting the development and implementation of government affairs strategies to ensure successful launches of new brands, market access of existing brands, and value creation for the product portfolio throughout the product lifecycle. It provides government affairs and policy-shaping expertise to the global therapeutic areas/brand teams, regions and corporate affairs organisations.
You will implement the relevant strategies, including working with markets to engage effectively with policy makers, to shape and influence public policy to deliver this business priority, drive added value for the product portfolio and ensure commercial success. It will provide internal and external government affairs, policy-shaping and strategic stakeholder engagement expertise to global and regional commercial and Corporate Affairs programmes to ensure proactive involvement to shape and influence policies to ensure commercial success in this area.
Apart from your expertise in GA and brand comms you will show the ability to lead within a large, complex and culturally diverse matrix organisation. You will also have an impressive record of shaping major complicated policy matters at senior levels of government on issues involving many, varied and powerful stakeholders. You will have broad experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industries with strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills and the ability to understand and influence issues and decision-makers in complicated and complex situations.
