We are looking for an experienced, high calibre Head of External Relations who will work with Senior Management across London Underground, London Rail and the wider Transport for London group.
The jobholder will have accountability for the development and management of relationships with senior stakeholders across the political spectrum, both in London and nationally.
As part of the London Rail and London Underground Senior Management team, the post holder will provide senior level and strategic advice to the Operational Board and Managing Director on stakeholder engagement and reputational issues, including personal support for speaking engagements and stakeholder visits. Working with the TfL press office, one of the busiest in the country, the role will also play a key part in shaping and responding to media stories, providing content and strategic advice for London Underground and Rail issues.
We are looking for an innovative professional with experience of working with senior stakeholders in a high profile, and public environment. Finely honed communication, leadership and relationship building skills will be complemented by a proven track record of achieving targets, delivering value for money and managing risk. At this level of seniority we also expect applying candidates to have a Degree/Post Graduate level qualification with a Communications or Politics bias, or appropriate significant business experience.
