Full Time
Contract Type

I am very excited to advertise this position that I am hoping will have the same effect on you once you have read the full details!

My client is a brand new charity – though they don’t see themselves as a ‘normal’ charity,  upon meeting them, I believe they might be right!  They are two brothers that have been running this charity in the US and now bringing to the UK through their thoroughly well connected contacts!  Launching in April online, the campaign will be to highlight the need and awareness to check a certain area of the body for cancer!  The target audience is 15-35 year olds, and it’s all done through good old fashioned humour and comedy!

The campaign has of course an extremely important message behind it, but done with some fun and humour, in addition it has some extremely high profile people involved to help make is a huge success that I have no doubt it will be.  The online campaign is being launched late April, with CH4 commission it for a show in October this year.  The show will have a target to drive awareness as much as possible online, which will determine which global artists will be playing at a huge concert.  The depth and breadth of this campaign throughout the year is brilliant, they have a London based social agency on board to do pro-bono work with them and also a tier 1 PR agency.  The campaign is about raising awareness not £!

This Community Manager role is a permanent hire and will be an employee of the charity, though will work closely with the pro-bono social agency.  This hire is integral to the business, as you will be number 5 hire in the organisation,  a very exciting opportunity for the right person.  You MUST have a sense of humour, you must love social media and understand the varying tools around social.  You will have an eye for opportunities, have good blogger contacts across varying sectors, be a real team player and looking for a job you will put 120% into, this is not for a 9-5 type of person – you will understand you won’t want to be away from the business once you get to the role!  The opportunity is huge and should not be perceived as a ‘charity’ role, it would suit a hungry digital lover, that preferably comes from a PR agency or a pure social media agency in London, with experience of working on brands – preferably youth to encompass the target audience.
