Group External Communications Manager, Corporate, Brand Positioning, London

Location: London (Central), London (North), London (East), London (South), London (West)

Sector: Business / Industrial, Media and New Media

Job description

Our client is a leading light in the industrials arena (specifically, property and logistics).  As part of its continued growth ambitions in the UK and across several key European locations, it wants to hire a Group External Communications Manager to spearhead a sophisticated PR programme in support of its broader commercial and marketing plans.  Communications will play an increasingly pivotal role as the organisation capitalises on its already impressive market presence and defines its brand position.

The principal focus of this role will be to develop and deliver the group’s media strategy in conjunction with the overarching marketing communications framework, working alongside and supporting the Director of Marketing and Communications.

Whether through brand campaigns, thought leadership or corporate profiling, your output will have impact in the UK and in Europe. This is an exciting and challenging role; you’ll be working with stakeholders on the ground at local and national level to champion innovation and best practice; developing the business’ reputation through targeted media work, both on and offline; and managing the day-to-day working relationship with the company’s external communications agency.

You’ll need to be commercially astute, confident in your abilities and capable of influencing at the most senior levels.  The responsibility will also be yours to produce proactive and authoritative press releases, briefings, articles and Q&As, so you will need to be a skilled writer and talented wordsmith.

To add your name to our shortlist, you’ll need to come armed with relevant, broad corporate communications experience.  You might have been working on substantial projects for comparable industrials, energy or property clients in an agency, for example, or leading corporate and media efforts from an inhouse stance.

This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to join a hugely exciting business and play a key role in its commercial success. Send your CV to Hetta via best@the-foundry.co.uk.
