Communications Manager

We are looking for a passionate and highly organised Communications Manager to join our team to take a lead on PR, public affairs and corporate communications. University Alliance is a group of innovative and enterprising universities that have come together to tackle the big issues facing universities, people and the economy. We like to do things differently.

The Communications Manager is a central player in promoting and raising the profile of University Alliance. You will ensure we understand the political and news agendas to help us take a strategic approach to not only responding to those agendas but also influencing them. You will lead on this by raising our profile and getting our messages across through a broad mix of press, public relations, digital and political engagement. You will craft and deliver our PR and public affairs strategies, write speeches and press releases, run events and speak with journalists and MPs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a pro-active individual with exceptional communications skills, creative flair and solid project management experience. You will have a background in PR or politics, and will have good contacts, strong leadership ability, proven organisational skills and the capacity to influence both internally and externally. Central London offices, close to Parliament with generous terms and conditions. Full-time, permanent position. Starting salary: £36,000 – £41,000.
