Associate Director, Public Affairs, Financial Service

Location: London (Central)

Sector: Financial Services

Job description

A rare opening has emerged to join this world-famous consultancy with a stellar heritage in corporate and public affairs.  Its alumni are some of the best known movers and shakers in the world of communications and politics and the current team is pretty special too.

The role is to add public affairs weight to a team that handles one of the company’s highest grossing global financial services clients, a household name operating at the business end of some deep regulatory issues and reputational opportunities/threats.  It requires a highly experienced PA specialist; someone who can provide senior-level strategic counsel to the client and lead a talented team.  Ideally, you’ll have deep financial services policy experience but don’t be put off if you’re not a specialist – some experience will suffice. Just as important is your political nous, your networking skills and your knowledge of EU and Member State legislation.

You’ll be working as part of an integrated team, so it’s important that you’re comfortable with a wider remit (including digital).

It’s an opportunity to really get under the skin of a client’s business and to operate as a high-value adviser at the most senior level.
