Arriva is a leading passenger transport organisation employing 55,000 people across 14 countries. We work closely with our transport partners to provide a range of transport services including bus, rail, coach, waterbus, tram and non emergency ambulance services.
Arriva’s central communications team seeks an experienced communications manager to develop and lead key communications and company-wide marketing workstreams at its central function.
At Arriva there is a strong B2C approach that operates within a company-wide framework. Centrally the communications team brings the story of Arriva together, ensuring that the Arriva story is told in a dynamic and consistent way.
The person we’re looking for understands the value of effective communications. They see opportunity in all material and messaging to present a clearly understandable, visually appealing and consistent approach that tells the Arriva story in a cohesive, understandable and logical way.
They will seek to position Arriva as market leader, and in doing so will develop innovative and engaging methods using branding, digital, and print with razor tuned messaging.
Key responsibilities are:
- Develop a range of engaging and innovative communications activities and products including communications, branding and digital that support Arriva businesses
- Develop and maintain the Arriva brand and brand related projects, including management of branding assets including logos, liveries and other collateral to support a cohesive, engaging visual approach representative of a market leading business.
- Develop a groupwide suite of messaging materials, and contribute to a range of communications channels, that tell the Arriva story to an internal and external audience, reflect our values and growth strategy, demonstrate global expertise and position us as market leader
The role reports into the group’s head of internal communications and sits within the central communications team.
This is a small, central team, you need to be flexible and be prepared to undertake a range of communications work to support the team’s overall success and contribution to the Arriva group.
While the role is based at the group’s Sunderland office, you should be prepared to travel to Arriva business locations and related events within the UK and across mainland Europe.
