This is a senior role, reporting to the c-suite, with one direct report. The position covers corporate communications for the privately owned holding company and consumer activity for one of their consumer brands.

We’re targeting ADs or PR Managers with the creativity to come up with great lifestyle national and regional campaigns and the gravitas to stand up against some feisty personal finance journalists.

Key tasks include:

Be the PR advocate within the business.  

Represent the business as the Key Media contact.

 Communicate the success of PR and the limitations of the business in terms of optimizing PR opportunities.

 Developing a clear content strategy for maximizing PR opportunities – influence internally to ensure support across all teams.

 Develop a network of journalists to ensure strong distribution of key consumer content such as deal related stories.

Develop a network of contacts in trade media to ensure the communication of core trade content.

Manage agency resource for both consumer and trade PR.

Support the wider marketing objectives with idea and content generation and work with SEO team to ensure a joined up approach 

Day to Day management of the press office, handling incoming media queries and seeking media opportunities
