As the Communications Manager you will lead the development and delivery of a structured communications programme that covers member and external communications, coordinate the delivery of stakeholder engagement, and proactively manage media relations to:

  • Ensure delivery of clear and compelling messages to support industry imperatives
  • Position them as a powerful voice with UK government, sector and business stakeholders

In addition to a rounded communications track-record ideally gained in healthcare, to succeed in this role you will have:

  • Extensive experience of proactive and reactive media relations including crisis communications
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills: internally, with members and with stakeholders
  • An understanding of membership organisations/trade associations and how they operate
  • An excellent understanding of working in a complex regulatory environment.
  • The credibility with senior peers and stakeholders that such a role requires
  • Clear communicator with ability to engage and inspire others.
  • Strong implementation skills.
