Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

The Senior Media & Communications Manager, Public Engagement, works as a senior member of the Media Relations Team and the broader Communications team to contribute to fulfilling the Department’s objectives as laid out in the Communications Team plan.

You will be specifically responsible for leading all Unicef UK’s strategic thinking and delivery for public campaigning and public fundraising-focused communications work. This role includes managing high level relationships across UK media; leading internal strategic thinking about how to maximise our campaigns and fundraising communications output, including how to integrate these audiences wherever possible, and working, alongside your line reports, to deliver effective, ambitious and well-messaged traditional and digital media coverage in this area.

You will have proven experience of developing, implementing and evaluating high profile media strategies and securing effective coverage, preferably within key mass media titles and with high profile supporters. As an experienced people manager, you will lead the team in developing a creative strategy for media and communications public campaigning and public fundraising projects.
