One of London’s fastest growing strategic communications consultancies is urgently looking for an established Account Director for their stakeholder relations team, working on a range of accounts from the energy and property & planning sectors. The agency focus their work across some of the UK’s most important and complex issues within new technology, energy and house building sectors, among others. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business at an exciting time of growth and have a hand in the success and development of the team.

As Account Director, your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and overseeing the delivery of integrated programmes of stakeholder, political and community engagement
  • Organising stakeholder and public events and exhibitions
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to clients
  • Arrange meetings with key stakeholders
  • Manage and mentor junior team members
  • Be involved in driving new business and assisting at pitches

You will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, gained either agency or in-house
  • A strong knowledge of the energy, property and planning sectors and a desire to specialise your work in these areas
  • A strong network of media contacts across national, regional, online, trade and specialist media
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and is confident at discussing complex issues with people from a variety of backgrounds
  • Experience of building strong relationships with a variety of clients
  • Confidence in managing junior members of the team as well as client accounts
