Our client are  a leading tech PR agency who works and partners with high growth, start-ups and tech companies of all sizes. A London based communications agency, working with high growth, disruptive technology companies and also large organisations looking to build innovative reputations.

This position requires a strong Senior Account manager and Account Director with B2B tech experience who wants to represent really exciting growing businesses.

Clients include: A Luxury Car Manufacture, A Business School, A Cloud security Company and  a myriad of inspirational entrepreneurs and start-ups. Full client list on request

  1. Competency

Writing

  • excellent writing skill e.g. for news releases, articles, case studies and opinion pieces
  • check and correct the writing for junior members of staff

Media relations

  • perform a very “hands-on” role on the account in terms of securing media relations
  • have excellent relationships with journalists and knowledge of target publications
  • have thorough knowledge of and interest in media trends and futures
  • continuously develop new pro-active story angles bases on knowledge of client and market

Client/ industry knowledge

  • read a wide range of media and stay in touch with business and sector trends
  • attend conferences and seminars
  • show evidence of proactive commitment to ongoing personal development through attending schedules training and identifying and proposing own training needs

Client relations/ management

  • be capable of providing an ongoing stream of proactive ideas to clients about opportunities for media coverage
  • show developing skills around providing client counsel on positioning and strategic communications and opportunities
  • assist with the production of PR plans
  • be able to organise and confidently lead monthly reporting meetings
  • maintain good contact with all clients

Account management/ administration/ time management

  • plan, organise, control and lead the activities of a team of Junior Associates and support staff, to achieve the required objectives within agreed costs and timetables, ensuring everything is done on time to standards
  • ensure KPIs and relevant actions are delivered
  • provide a supporting role for Senior Associate and Directors and help develop the strategic direction of accounts
  • manage teams on day-to-day basis, in terms of ensuring good ongoing output and results, and flagging issues before they become problems
  • help more junior team members develop and ensure they have the skills and tools necessary to perform their jobs
  • ensure account administration runs smoothly e.g. contact reports and monthly reports produced in a timely and efficient manner
  • continuously monitor quality of work and out put
  • ensure accounts receive regular reviews of day-to-day work to ensure fresh thinking and pro-active ideas
  • be the link between junior and senior levels of the teams to keep all informed about progress and issues

New business

  • generate new business leads and secure new business meetings
  • help to prepare and write proposals for extension of activities with current clients and the introduction of new business into the company
  • assist with research and writing new business proposals
  • confidently take part in new business presentations
  • suggest ways of developing existing client business
