Job Details
One of the UK’s largest social enterprises and registered charities within the transport industry is looking for a Communications Manager to head up their communications/social media! They are committed to making the world more inclusive and need someone on board who really shares their values of making the world a better place. As Communications Manager you will liaise with stakeholders, lead their media relations and social media, create thought leadership campaigns and managing marketing campaigns. This is an amazing opportunity!
Responsibilities:
- Leading on organisation’s relationships with the press and the media
- Working with internal stakeholders
- Developing and executing an appropriate social media strategy
- Writing blogs, opinion pieces and other content
- Helping to provide in-house marketing and communications support
- Developing comms to widen the impact of the businesses public policy work
Requirements:
- Experience of using proactive public/media relations to raise the profile of the organisation
- Track record of building positive relationships with journalists
- Press release and copywriting skills
- Experience of handling negative issues in the media
- Some stakeholder management would be a plus
