The UK is also home to our global headquarters, 8 Canada Square. Our history
We are also one of the oldest banking groups in the world. Our origins date back to 1865, when the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation was first established, and many of our principal companies opened for business more than a century ago.
