Reporting to the VP Marketing EMEA and working closely alongside the EMEA Senior Communications Mgr. the EMEA. PR and Social Media Manager will have responsibilities for Logitech’s product and brand communications across various communication channels.

The role involves:

  • Work as a strong member of EMEA team to set effective worldwide product launch and ongoing communication strategies
  • Develop integrated PR and Social Media communications strategies for new products and ensure rollout of product communications is timely, on-strategy and effective
  • Work closely with the category teams to understand the product-line strategy, product roadmap, positioning and overall marketing communications strategy to ensure alignment with the PR and Social Media strategy
  • Work closely with global communications teams during the development and execution of the global PR and Social Media strategy to ensure plans can be leveraged at the region and country level
  • Manage PR and Social Media agency resources that support communication objectives
  • Manage the EMEA announcement calendar, providing input into the overall company announcement calendar
  • Develop PR and Social Media tactics that can be  leveraged at a region and country level, including (but not limited to):
  • Llifestyle PR programs
  • Creative events
  • Social promotions and campaigns
  • Blog posts
  • Manage media training for EMEA spokespersons
  • Work closely with consumer insights and other disciplines within the EMEA marketing team to inform the PR and Social Media strategy, story development and content creation
  • Contribute to the overall success of Logitech’s PR and Social Media efforts by investigating and assessing new tools and practices
  • Contribute to the PR and Social Media team’s budgeting process

The Successful Candidate

  • Minimum of 8-10 years PR experience in a global, fast paced, innovative work environment
  • Fluent in min. English and French/German
  • A mix of agency and in-house experience preferred
  • Experience managing agencies across EMEA region
  • Extensive experience working with consumer brands driving consumer PR and social media programs
  • Demonstrated success using social media to grow a consumer brand through creative out-of-the-box thinking that drives measurable results
  • Media relationships with technology and consumer lifestyle influencers
  • An enthusiastic, can-do attitude; a problem solver; able to work autonomously; comfortable with strategic planning as well as implementing the details
  • Natural leadership characteristics and skilled at working across multiple organizations in a company to build teamwork and achieve results
  • High energy and sense of urgency while being patient when setbacks occur
  • Strong understanding and enthusiasm for PR and social media measurement
  • Demonstrated good judgment in external communications
  • Passion for technology and innovation
  • Strong writing skills
  • Academic credentials in the fields of business, communications, marketing and/or journalism
