Our work is vitally important to the NHS. We collect 7,000 blood donations every day in order to provide a constant supply to hospitals. Alongside this we also manage the Organ Donor Register and British Bone Marrow Registry. Each year, our work enables numerous lives to be saved or dramatically improved by an organ transplant. We retrieve and store tissue, like skin and bone, ready for use in life-saving and life-improving situations, and also manufacture and provide plasma products such as clotting agents.

Join us as an Internal Communications Manager to deliver an exceptional service to support the internal communications strategy, in line with the organisation’s aims and objectives. We make a huge difference to so many people, so we need the best individuals to ensure that we continue to do so.

Experience in an internal communications management role, gained in a large, complex organisation, will stand you in excellent stead for working with the rest of our Internal Communications team, to deliver effective communication across our organisation. You’ll help to deliver strategic advice on internal communications, advising on priorities, messages and channels ensuring our people are as committed to our future priorities as you are.

You will lead on the delivery of specific internal communications activity, such as the organisations internal publication, intranet and staff briefing, and on the delivery of specific projects, for example complex change programmes. You’ll also work closely with the rest of the Communications Directorate, acting as the communications lead on key organisational projects.
