My client is an established, profitable top 20 PR agency with a strong online, digital reputation. Head office is based in London with a good international outreach.

They are looking for an experienced PR Account Manager or Senior Account Manager to join their successful Technology team. (Excellent B2B candidates from other sectors will also be considered)

Key accountabilities -

- Working with clients as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor on PR activities
- Working with and reporting to the Account Director taking a growing percentage of the load as you grow into the position
- Day to day contact with target media to generate coverage opportunities and to develop positive ongoing relationships with key journalists in trades, verticals and nationals
- Direct contact and visibility with clients, with responsibility for specific campaigns and activity plans, goal setting and managing relationship
- Writing a variety of copy, from press releases, to media alerts, blog posts, commentary and market reports
- Managing relationships with your writers and content team to receive verbal brief from client, prepare written brief, coach and advise, then proof and approve copy prior to submission
- Active involvement in blogs and social networks on behalf of clients and the agency
- Clear understanding of SEO in release writing and blog posts, the role and importance of social media, as well as an appreciation of the position of PR in the marketing mix
- An understanding or experience of broader B2B marketing is preferred

Key requirements -

- Minimum five years in working in business - experience in business and PR preferred
- Minimum three years` experience in PR, preferably with an agency background
- Some experience in B2B, Technology or IT PR
- Impeccable English grammar and punctuation and overall copywriting skills
- Active in social networks and appreciation of B2B value of social media
- Clear understanding of Google analytics and its impact on B2B PR and Marketing
- Drive, ambition and motivation to become an Account Director in the future
- Great empathy, client management skills
- Hard working ethic - great client service
- Deep and natural understanding of media relations
- Professional outlook - thinks and acts like a senior PR
- Experience of working across multiple clients and juggling workloads
- Strong contacts within the tech and business media, with proven abilities to generate coverage, especially in higher tier media
- Team working and communication abilities essential, with strong interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated and able to work under own initiative
- Keen interest in B2B marketing and curiosity or understanding of latest inbound marketing techniques and tools, including SEO and social media tools.
