About the role

We’ve a fantastic opportunity to join our UK business as a Public Relations Manager initially for a period of 9 months. This is a very exciting time to join the business as we’re currently in the process of building a new Brand, and you’ll have a key role in ensuring that this is brought to life.

Reporting to the Head of Brand Marketing you’ll be responsible for the driving forward Sage UK’s vision and business objectives through a central PR and social media function. You’ll have accountability for managing our PR campaigns both in house and via agencies, as well as media & social media relations.

You’ll act as the key point of contact for all media enquiries and source and coordinate media responses on behalf of Sage.    Through the delivery of the brand and corporate PR activity, you’ll also play a key role in supporting the delivery of the central social media strategy.

Skills & experience

To succeed in this role you’ll need to be a strong people manager and be able to coach, develop and lead a passionate PR and social media team to ensure they continue to deliver outstanding results. You’ll have a strong track record in the delivery of developing and implementing PR strategy and social / digital media relations policies.

You’ll ideally have worked for a FTSE100/250 company and you’ll have experience of working with people at all levels including Business Leaders. You’ll be able to manage and support key stakeholders to ensure the brand integrity of all PR and social media, and manage budgets effectively ensuring we are getting ROI and business objectives are met.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is very passionate about PR and has exceptional written, verbal and visual communication skills.   You’ll have a creative mind and will be able to think on your feet.  You’ll ideally be familiar with Technical Software or have a background of working in a similar environment, and have relevant PR qualifications. Travel and relocation costs may be available for the successful candidate.
