The Role:

This is new role for a strategic and tactical internal communications professional who has specialised in employee brand communications and engagement programmes.  Working with the HR Director and Group Corporate Affairs Director this is an opportunity for someone to develop a new intranet project and then go on a devise and implement ongoing strategic internal group communications plans.  There will be a major employee relations and technology driven change management project which will the focus of the role for the first 6 – 9 months.  This project will give you the opportunity to delve into the inner workings of this organisation and develop a real understanding of how the group works across their individual brands and how to streamline and implement over-arching group internal communications programmes. You will be privy to confidential change management information which will then need to be communicated to a broad employee base from head office senior management through to retail staff and work with other group internal communications managers to ensure message consistency. You will also be responsible for a publications manager who will assist you in creating engaging and targeted employee communications content.  In addition to this you will be part of a reward scheme overhaul, offering the opportunity to develop new bonus/reward structure ideas and come up with news ways to communicate change.  Beyond the initial intranet project, there is a huge scope for career development in this role and the opportunity to specialise and develop your existing employee relations and internal communications skills.

Your strong internal communications experience in a big brand environment and ability to demonstrate a history of proven change management programmes will be essential.  In addition to this your ability to communicate in person, via written content and using multiple platforms, including print and digital will be key.  They want someone who is technically capable of working with IT and design teams in addition to being able to communicate with individual group heads across the business. It will be important that you have a combination of both strategic and tactical internal communications experience, being able to both design key plans and implement them.  Most important is an outgoing and friend disposition, this business, values people with big personalities who are enthused and engaging both professionally and personally.  This is not a role for wallflower, it requires a strong team player who loves a challenge.
