East Riding of Yorkshire Council is recognised for having strong external and internal communications. We are now seeking a first-class communicator, with both excellent written and oral skills, to help lead our award winning communications team based in Beverley.

We require a journalist/sub-editor with extensive experience in newspapers at a senior level and/or having managed a press office in either the public or private sector.

You will have day-to-day responsibility for the council’s publications, including the biggest circulation magazine in the East Riding. You will also oversee the running of our busy press office and provide expertise, support and advice to members and officers with all aspects of media relations and internal and external communications including publications.

Base: County Hall, Beverley.

Hours: 37 per week.
