A global leader in strategic communications and a trusted adviser to many of the world's most successful companies, with offices in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Asia - is in search of a Senior Associate with Digital Expertise. The role is located in London.

The successful candidate will work across the company’s client list to provide best in class advice and execution on digital and social media for financial, corporate and crisis communications. The role requires someone with strong experience in both digital and corporate communications, with a proven mix of entrepreneurial, commercial and creative skills. The environment is dynamic and there will be plenty of potential for career development through involvement in a wide variety of projects.  

Typical duties will involve

Development and execution of highly strategic digital and social media plans for financial, corporate and crisis communications

Setting up of social media accounts and audience engagement. Creating and executing digital and social media strategies

Work closely with sector and account teams on new business and current clients on digital opportunities and risks across communication plans and crises management

Project management of digital builds e.g. websites, IPO microsites  

Advising on and assisting in the preparation of messaging materials for use on online platforms 

Ensure that all digital and social media strategies and advice is in line with the RLM Finsbury guiding principles

Insights and research for current clients and new business opportunities

Influencer mapping 

Monitoring. May be some requirement for social media summaries 

Researching content strategy


Keep abreast of all new technological developments in the digital arena 

Identify ways in which they can innovate and ensure we are ahead of the curve in relation to our clients

Source new technology, content and delivery partners 

Forging productive relationships 

Build relationships and represent the digital practice in advisory meetings with senior level clients 

Engagement  - forge productive relationships with clients, bloggers and partners 

Develop strong relationships across key digital partners e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn

New business

Contribute to and present at new business pitches across the company


Provide guidance to the digital advocates around the business

Manage requests for assistance and assist or delegate to appropriate team members

Create and present training internal and external workshops Necessary attributes

Industry knowledge

Comprehensive understanding of digital and social media opportunities and how it can be integrated into corporate communications

Experience creating and delivering digital / social media plans for financial and corporate communications - advocacy and reputation management / crisis

Understanding of digital business models and the role of service providers and partners in the value chain

Significant relevant PR, Press industry experience required 


Proven in handling and running client relationships

Insight and judgement to give advice helping clients make the greatest impact

Ability and willingness to lead and persuade others to embrace digital 

Advocacy – able to engage, influence and persuade verbally and in written materials appropriate to the platform

Strong analytical skills with a vision to turn consumer best practice into case-appropriate financial and corporate initiatives

Diplomacy – expert in reading people and situations; professional in navigating challenging situations

Demonstrable interest and understanding of business environment and current affairs

Ideally financially literate, some experience in working with financial information
