Fashion/lifestyle retail brand with huge growth ambitions in the UK and across Europe wants to hire a Head of European Communications to spearhead a sophisticated PR programme in support of its broader commercial and marketing plans. Communications will play a critical role as the company builds on its market presence and brand positioning.
The primary focus of the role will be to develop and deliver striking creative brand campaigns that will have impact in the UK and across Europe. In addition, the remit will encompass corporate reputation management and internal communications. It’s very much a leadership role, managing teams on the ground and remotely, together with a roster of agencies. It’s also about influencing senior internal stakeholders in order to champion innovation and best practice across the business as a whole.
We anticipate that, to reach the shortlist, you will need to be a Board Director or Practice Head within an international agency, with experience of directing big consumer brands; or currently heading up an in house European communications team, again for a substantial brand. You’ll need to be highly creative, commercially astute, able to deliver rigorous evaluation to demonstrate ROI, capable of influencing at the highest levels and, whilst your core skills will be consumer-facing, you’ll also need to have the strategic ability and gravitas to manage the company’s corporate positioning and internal communications.
