PR Foodie Required –Account Director – Food/Drink/Consumer – Exciting PR Agency - Leicester Square, London - to £50,000 + Benefits

My client is one of the best names in PR with a food team that covers a complete spectrum of clients, from small craft producers to major blue chip brands. They are unashamed food lovers so if you want the chance to talk about food all day, every day, then this is the agency for you.

They are now looking for an Account Director to join the food team and work across a range of their exciting brands. You must be a foodie with consumer FMCG food experience - this will be reflected in your professional PR experience and your personal love of all things food & drink. Quite simply this means blogging on all things food, publicising the latest resturaunts, bars or food fashions, working on PR campaigns for food and drinks brands from the new and niche to the big and famous.

 Main responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for a number of accounts; identification of the client’s objectives; development of an appropriate communication strategy;
  • Responsibility for the agreed client programme and meeting KPIs; focus on adding value through setting of clear targets, ensuring application of Best Practice, thorough evaluation and management of client’s expectations
  • Delivery of clever strategies and planning informed by digital analysis and insights
  • Development of creative and paths (including digital and social media programmes) for client campaigns, preparation of proposals and taking a leading role in presentations
  • Confident presentation and communication skills applied both internally with teams and externally with clients and business prospects
  • Anticipate potential problem areas, devise solutions and communicate to client
  • Proven media skills at senior level, handling strategic and issue-led media communication
  • Overall responsibility for quality control across all day to day work for client; sign off on press communication

You must have:

  • Consumer/FMCG food PR background; ideally from an agency
  • Previous experience working at AD level (or looking to make the move up from SAM level)
  • A passion for food and a desire to succeed in the food PR sector
  • An in-depth knowledge and experience in all aspects of media relations, from writing press releases to identifying and maximising opportunities for coverage
  • Previous experience managing junior employees

In return for your talents and endeavour my client offers a competitive salary of up to £50,000 plus superb benefits.
