My client is a fantastic, full-service communications agency specialising in consumer lifestyle, broadcast, FMCG and luxury brands. My client is now seeking an Account Executive to support an integrated team with expertise in Broadcast PR and UK press office. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the food and beverage market, key drinks contacts and social/ earned/ owned/ paid media landscape.  

The role:

  • Support the account manager with the strategic direction and client servicing of the UK PR & Integrated accounts you’re responsible for 
  • Media outreach and support on delivery of day to day media activation and client servicing of owned accounts within given portfolio
  • Be able to complete a core set of tasks; possess strong multi-channel as well as PR skills, good client management skills 


  • Deliver a high standard of media coverage – demonstrating strong media relations skills to sell in agreed storylines and spokespeople to UK media; and build an established network of media contacts
  • Research and write press releases, broadcast releases, and social media posts where relevant
  • Establish a good day to day working relationship with clients – liaising on projects as advised by line manager
  • Maintain first class administration on all client accounts; ensuring database of media contacts is maintained; ensuring coverage reports are kept up to date
  • Assist in the development and implementation of UK media campaigns – demonstrating excellent news sense, seasonal events calendar and a clear understanding of client's’ business objectives and budgetary constraints


  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of the media landscape in the UK across broadcast, traditional and digital media (earned/ owned/ paid)
  • Demonstrable experience in product placement ideally in the food and drink sector
  • Support the team to develop integrated plans for campaigns; demonstrating an understanding of domestic media and an established network of media contacts and develop understanding of other areas of media (digital/ social and paid)
  • Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills
  • Ability to write appropriately for different requirements: press releases, proposals, status reports, contact reports, etc
  • Computer literate with a sound understanding of Microsoft Office, as well as online tools including Gorkana and Kantar
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use your initiative
  • An ability to be flexible and adaptable dependent on requirements and current campaigns
