Job summary

The role of the Senior Account Manager is of key support to the Senior Account Director and PR. The Senior Account Manager will be in charge of overseeing the smooth running of PR and social campaigns, from client briefings to controlling the pennies, and will be responsible for a team of account managers and executives. This role has plenty of variety and requires some serious multi-tasking, such as managing a portfolio of accounts, using contacts to generate new business, engaging in team development, delivering presentations, running and attending meetings with clients, and maintaining best in class relationships with clients and media.

Key responsibilities

• Building and maintaining excellent client relationships.
• Meeting and liaising with clients to discuss and identify their PR (consumer and B2B) and/or social media requirements.
• Writing detailed strategies and proposals.
• Idea generation.
• Confident client management.
• Delivering 'pitches', along with other agency staff, to try to win new business for the agency.
• Delivering incremental business through networking and proactively managing and developing the commercial relationship with existing clients
• Responsible with Senior Account Director for managing clients and their projects independently, successfully and profitably.
• Handling budgets, managing campaign costs and invoicing clients.
• Managing junior team to monitor, and evaluate  the effectiveness of campaigns;
• Working closely with all relevant departments to ensure work is produced to client brief and budget.
