We serve a large county and provide services to over half a million residents across many different areas – from country to coast, from town to village.  We have major plans for regeneration and economic development, and we are refocussing our approach to marketing and communications to help us to achieve our goals.  We are currently recruiting a Head of Communications and Marketing who will lead the development and delivery of internal and external communications and our marketing service, in order to maintain the council’s positive reputation and raise the profile of our wonderful county.

We are looking for candidates with strong and relevant experience who can bring about change via fresh thinking, drive and engaging leadership.  We also want individuals who can work corporately and play a major role in our improvement and transformation journey over the coming years.  It’s an exciting time to join Durham and we would be delighted to hear from inspiring senior managers who embody our values and ambition and are excited by the prospect of working with us.
