Corporate Communications Assistant Manager

Are you an Assistant Corporate Communications Manager and want to play a key role in a brand new position within one of the largest institutional asset managers in the UK? Have you got strong external and internal corporate communications experience within the financial services sector? If so this role could be the one for you!

Reporting directly into the Head of Corporate Communications & Shareholder Relations your role will be to proactively promote the organisation at a Corporate level across a range of channels in the national and international media.

Your responsibilities:

* React to journalist enquires and requests and arrange for comment
* Sell in news hooks, spokespeople and stories to the media on a regular basis
* Check nationals and trade publications for current news stories as they appear.
* Work with the Head of Corporate and Shareholder Communications on the day to day management of the PR agencies to ensure value add
* Review, distribute and save daily press cuttings
* Support the team with admin duties including monthly and quarterly reports
* Keep planning documents up-to-date to enable the corporate communications team to plan the year ahead.

Your profile:

* Financial services experience is preferred, open to an agency background.
* Able to multi-task and cover a wide range of topics.
* Good media contacts at national/trade/wire/broadcast.
* Enthusiastic team player.
* Self-starter, with good initiative and communication skills.
* Keen attention to detail.

There is the possibility of a temporary to permanent post for the right person, as well as the opportunity for part-time work if that is of interest.
