The opportunity
Our client, a regulator in the financial services industry, is looking for a Digital Communications Manager to join their communications team. You will be at the forefront of shaping the organisation’s ‘shop window’. You will lead on digital for the organisation, acting as internal expert and advisor. You will lead on exciting projects including the redesign of their website to make it more innovative and user friendly. You will also work in wider communications projects both from an internal and external perspective. The team is collaborative and the organisation has an open and supportive culture.
Main responsibilities
- Deliver their current digital strategy and help develop future digital strategies
- Work with the internal communications team to help develop a new intranet
- Be the 'go to' member of the Communications team for advice and insight on website management and digital engagement
- Own the relationship with the web and digital agencies
- Be a communications lead (or 'point person') for company-wide projects, ensuring a coordinated and effective approach to communications.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across the organisation
- Develop metrics/KPIs/measures to track the success of communications you plan, support and deliver
Key responsibilities and skills required
- Good understanding of the following: HTML, CSS design, Javascript, CMS platforms (in particular Drupal), cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility
- Good working knowledge of SEO best practice, Google Analytics and Tag Manage
- A successful track record of delivering website development and publishing projects (familiarity of agile project management methodology would be useful)
- Good at working with and understanding technical terms and being able to translate technical jargon
- Excellent organisation and planning skills
- Excellent communications skills
- Innovative and creative you will understand and look for new and exciting ways to engage with digital audiences
- Good at providing progress reports and evaluating success
