Account Manager - Corporate Affairs

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Account Manager to join an award-winning corporate affairs team in a global Communications Consultancy. The agency is in the top 10, with over 300 clients, and boasts a fully integrated service. They are currently looking for an established Senior Account Executive looking for a step up, or an Account Manager, to join the Corporate Affairs team. This role will involve a lot of strategic counsel – intelligence led PR and thought leadership, alongside some really exciting crisis work.

This role is really exciting as the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of accounts – the flexibility is there to take what you want from the role and there’s lots of opportunity to progress as quickly as you like.

In terms of team culture – it is a very collegiate team – the whole floor is open plan with over 150 people working together. The offices are beautiful – loud with a very buzzy atmosphere. Socially there’s lots going on – bake offs, triathlons and nights out! There is a lot of investment in training too and this is really encouraged.

 As Account Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Day to day client liaison and management
  • Delivering agreed client programmes/actions
  • Providing timely and clear reporting on progress
  • Assisting with managing servicing and profitability, including ensuring the provision of effective client counsel
  • Assisting with new business preparation and pitches
  • Keeping up to date with the latest social media trends, as well as proactively developing material and awareness of the agency’s digital offering
  • Managing and mentoring junior teams

The ideal Account Manager will have:

  • Direct experience of working in the public affairs/corporate affairs arena
  • A broad and diverse network of contacts, as well as strong networking skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong analytical skills
  • An understanding of budget management
  • The ability to build strong relationships based on trust and respect
  • Excellent knowledge of UK parliament, politics, and policy
