Job Details
They're not your typical financial organisation - they have a quirky personality, and a fun loving culture, and they love interesting people with hobbies and passions outside of work. They live and breathe creativity in everything they do, not just in their marketing and PR teams, making a brilliant place to work if you also consider yourself a creative person.
They have an open culture with opportunity work cross-divisionally, take on special projects and liaise with the most senior people in the company. They encourage everyone to try new things - and the reason for the new Press Officer role is because the existing Press Officer has moved to a new division within the business to try something slightly different.
The Role: Press Officer
The new Press Officer will work specifically in the asset management division of the organisation, although there will be an opportunity to work with the wider team. Working with the PR Manager and Head of External Relations, you will:
* Support the delivery of the PR strategy and press office
* Devise ideas for features and news stories
* Manage media relationships and respond to media enquiries
* Evaluate and report on campaign success
* Provide briefings to spokespeople
* Maintain media lists and distribute press releases
The new Press Officer should have:
Circa 3-4 years PR experience
A background in financial services PR, ideally with some experience in asset management
Excellent media relationships with key national, regional, trade, political, consumer and news journalists
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
Demonstrable experience of writing strong, engaging press materials
An ability to work independently and proactively
For you…
The successful Press Officer will be offered a basic salary between £35k and £40k. Additionally:
* Private pension
* Private Medical Insurance
* 28 days holiday
* Annual bonus
* Travel insurance
* Health screening
