We’re looking for a Corporate Communication Manager to join the Group Communication & Marketing team.  Mondi is on a journey to raise its profile among key stakeholders, showing leadership in areas that matter to us most – manufacturing and sustainability – and become an employer of choice.

Your responsibilities: 

Contribute to the successful delivery of the Integrated Reporting process with a focus on sustainable development reporting, ensuring we evolve our approach, engage our audiences and stay best-in-class:

• Project managing the Sustainable Development (SD) reporting process
• Working with the Senior Communication Manager to ensure strong connections between the integrated and sustainability reports, enabling accurate and relevant content 
• Engaging with Mondi’s reporting agency on all areas of the Sustainable Development Report project including conceptualisation, key messaging, design, project planning, coordination, schedules, budgets, and content development/ review/ approval, working closely with Group Head of Sustainable Development on all aspects
• Working collaboratively as part of Mondi’s internal reporting team and with colleagues from other corporate departments, business units, and operations
• Taking responsibility for content development including briefing freelance copywriters, crafting messaging and editing
• Collating feedback, finding consensus if there are differing views, and accurately implementing copy changes, including close collaboration with the Group Sustainable Development team
• Ensuring regular updates and effective coordination of the SD reporting process
• Aligning reports to best-practice standards and frameworks including the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), UN Global Compact (UNGC) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to ensure Mondi continues to report and disclose information consistent with industry best practice

Contribute to overall UK media strategy and content planning:

• Leveraging sustainability reporting key messages beyond the reports to non-specialist internal and external stakeholders e.g. summary for sales teams, videos, case studies, website updates
• Collaborating to repurpose reporting content into audience-centric stories that can be profiled on selected digital and social media channels over the course of the year
• Contributing to UK media relations work including M&A activity and sustainability-related topics
• Working closely with the Group Sustainable Development team to understand priorities and areas of stakeholder interest

Our requirements:

• Exceptional project management skills
• Ability to structure and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive to completion
• Good understanding of reporting frameworks and trends
• Professional work ethic with ability to meet challenging deadlines under pressure while maintaining quality standards and good humour 
• Ability to provide professional, constructive feedback to broad range of stakeholders
• Fast, accurate and organised with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to work cross-functionally with teams from a variety of cultures and disciplines, as well as external partners

Languages: 

• Outstanding communicator in English with excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills
• Other language skills an advantage

Experience: 

• Experience in a reporting role and / or sustainability role for a FTSE100/ 250 company with proven ability to lead reporting assignments from inception through to delivery
• Experience of UK media
• Global or multi-national corporate experience is strongly preferred

Other: 

• Experience with CtrlPrint or similar
• Website content development
• Social media content creation and/or community management experience
