Senior Communications Officer

We are representing a Not for Profit organisation focused on financing infrastructure to boost economic growth in the world’s poorest countries. The Head of Communications is looking for a talented all-round External Communications Officer to take a lead role improving communications outputs and impact across owned and earned channels. 

Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to

• Proactively driving the external communications strategy/plan and delivering broad ranging campaigns
• Lead on all social media activity from a strategic and operational perspective
• Take ownership of the company’s website
• Support the earned media relations programme
• Support external conferences and events
• Working closely with key stakeholders across the wider group to encourage and create alignment in external messaging
• Deputise for the Head of Communications as required

Your experience will include

• Three to five years’ experience in a broad external communications role
• The ability to evidence experience spanning across (but not limited to) external communications including social media, digital, website management, conferences, events, etc
• Excellent writing/content skills
• Ability to manage external agencies
• Experience in emerging markets is desirable but a passion to boost economic growth in the world’s poorest markets is essential
• Experience from in-house and/or agency environments will be considered
