Inspire. Influence. Excel.

NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is a world-famous organisation – and since our conception, our innovative work and cutting-edge medical breakthroughs have saved and enhanced millions of lives. Working collaboratively as a team, we are the backbone of the NHS’s capabilities – and you could be central to this industry-leading challenge.

Joining our award-winning Corporate Communications Team, you will enjoy the opportunity to influence and direct our new media and marketing capabilities. Using your extensive celebrity know-how, you will represent NHSBT externally as you develop a creative programme of celebrity and influencer content across every channel imaginable.  Working with everyone from bloggers and brand ambassadors to talent agents and celebrity journalists, you will engage closely with a diverse range of influencers, identifying ways in which you can promote NHSBT’s core messages to the public.

As this is a newly-created role, you will have the scope to shape this role as you see fit. Representing us at external events, this is a fast-paced role in a thriving environment. You will therefore need to be a motivated self-starter with an extensive understanding of traditional media, celebrity and talent as well as a significant experience of influencer identification and activation across new media and marketing channels. With an exceptional grasp of how best to leverage social and traditional media influencer opportunities, you will confidently bring your ideas to life.

NHSBT is an organisation like no other. Our staff are the most important element of our work, and we value the input of each and every member. So if you’d like the opportunity to make a difference from day one, get in touch today.

Company

Our work is vitally important to the NHS. We ensure that 8,000 units of blood are collected and made ready for use every day.

We hold 9 days of blood stocks and provide a constant supply to hospitals. Our work also enables 5,500 organ and cornea transplants every year. Alongside this we manage the nation’s Organ Donor Register of nearly 13 million names and the British Bone Marrow Registry.

We retrieve and store other tissues, like skin and bone, ready for use in life-saving and life-improving situations, as well as manufacture and provide plasma products such as clotting factors.
