An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join one of the biggest FMCG retailers as a Senior PR Manager [Corporate Communications], leading on proactive media relations, delivering compelling campaigns and handling crisis and issues.

The Role – Senior PR Manager [Corporate Communications]

This role has a heavy media relations focus and will see you taking a lead in building and delivering the company’s proactive media agenda – delivering integrated, creative campaigns and stories to a consumer focused audience.

You’ll also be responsible for dealing with issues and crisis, helping to coach senior staff when it comes to media engagement - in addition to supporting on financial communications.

Key Responsibilities and Attributes of the Senior PR Manager

• Building trust with journalists and stakeholders – identifying campaigns, driving campaigns and preparing spokespeople
• Ensuring digital communications plays a key role in all media campaigns/story-telling
• Strong relationships with a range of journalists, an in depth knowledge of the media [ideally the retail sector] and a “nose for news”
• Experience of financial communications
• Line management
• Budget management
