Freelance Consultant (top-end AM to AD) - three month contract in Qatar

My client in Qatar is looking for a freelance consultant to join the team as they enter an exciting, busy and intensive period during the second half of the year, with a number of major client activations and campaign deliverables coming to fruition.
 
The team is looking for someone to join for a period of three months initially (possibly longer), ideally starting at the beginning of September.
 
The role requires someone from an agency background, with the level flexible from a top-end Account Manager, to Account Director.
 
You will be employed by an international communications consultancy, recognised for its award winning work around the world. Your client portfolio will include the body responsible for the development of art and culture in the country, and a specialist women’s and children’s hospital. You may also be involved in new business pitches. The work will largely be focused on media activity, developing content, and helping with proposals and plans.

Requirements include:
- Strong programme and project management skills
- Experience of executing high impact campaigns – keeping a team to task to deliver against clear project deliverables
- Strong media relations skills and experience. Ideally strong experience working with major international media outlets and broadcast channels (e.g. NYT, FT, BBC, CNN etc)
- Creative story development – knowing the key ingredients of putting together a strong editorial package for media (print / online)
- Digital content strategy and development – advice and input into the social media activities they undertake on behalf of clients
- Strong written skills – developing proposals / media strategy documents etc
- Strong client relationship management skills. Offering smart, strategic advice and counsel
- Arabic language skills are not a must, but would be a nice to have.
