Due to new business wins this award winning PR agency is on the lookout for a PR Account Executive or Senior Account Executive to join its talented team!
This is a great opportunity for someone who’s passionate about PR and social media and looking to make the next move in their career.
Candidates must have PR agency experience (or In-house B2B experience in the construction or manufacturing for the trade sectors), strong writing skills as well as solid media relations, event management, new business and client liaison skills.
Typical client sectors are very much B2B biased and include: Construction, B2B manufacturing, professional services, energy, training and hospitality, so hands on experience of some of these sectors would be a real bonus!
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Excellent, proven writing skills
- The ability to work under pressure, whilst maintaining quality standards
- A minimum of one years’ work experience, preferably within an agency
- A passion to work across a wide range of communications channels, including social media
- Excellent communication skills
- A creative, intuitive mind

Summary of main purpose of job:
- To support and implement marketing activity across a client portfolio
- To provide a focus on delivering quality and results
- To develop skills relevant to your duties and client requirements
- To support client account handlers in the execution of their role
Responsible to: junior account director/associate director
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure a continuous flow of results for clients
- Begin to plan activity across the month including developing timelines
- Implement PR, social media and marketing plans to ensure timely and effective delivery of results across clients
- Support client accounts on a day-to-day and proactive basis
- ‘Keeping all the plates spinning’
- Day to day liaison with clients
- Take responsibility for mini campaigns/projects within the client portfolio
- Demonstrate ‘added value’ by suggesting new ideas, best practice and keeping them informed of any competitor activity or industry news
- Provide ‘first response’ for telephone calls and agency visitors
- Develop your knowledge to enable you to live ‘in your client’s world’ and be knowledgeable about their sector and competitors
- Agree and deliver a client’s ‘picture of success’
- Provide a service excellence mentality and maintain the ‘ego-free’ culture of the agency (no ‘I’ in team)
- Undertake admin and support activities, running errands and keeping the office running smoothly
- Support new business activities and in house marketing activity
- Spot opportunities to profile the agency including media relations, award entries, social media and networking
- Support the team on the management of projects and campaigns
- Attend and/or lead client meetings
- Liaise with and manage suppliers, and negotiate the best rates available
- Supporting junior members of the team as appropriate
Specific activities include:
- Planning your own workload and junior/freelance support using WIPs, timeline and regular planning
- Prioritising own workload
- Monitoring activity to ensure regular results
- Writing press releases / case studies / social content
- Proactively understand and engage with your client’s media portfolio and the wider media landscape to identify opportunities to deliver regular press coverage
- Selling in and building media contacts
- Ensure cuttings are up to date and circulated daily to clients, collating cuttings for the client meeting
- Drafting copy / newsletters
- Social media management and evaluation
- Support in managing client events
- Ensure timely production of meeting notes / agendas
- Proofreading of account team work
- Collecting and storage of print samples, final artwork, client guard books
- Consideration of personal CPD
- Supporting new business activity
