Account Manager/ Senior Account Manager - Top 20 PR Agency – Camden, London – to £35,000 depending on experience 

My client is a Top 20 consumer PR agency, with offices in London, New York and Paris. Based in Camden, they won Agency of the Year at the EMEA Sabre Awards and were nominated for Best Digital Agency of the World. They help brands tell their stories through all means of content, whether words, pictures or moving image, build their reputation through emotional connections and solve their communications problems. 

They are now looking for an experience Account Manager or Senior Account Manager with UK PR experience to join their team. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaising and building a rapport with clients to identify and define opportunities and project requirements, scope and objectives
  • Driving and owning projects and campaigns from inception to execution for the accounts you’re responsible for 
  • Help prepare and write proposals and lead pitches for extension of activities with current clients, as well as support the Associates with the introduction of new business
  • Overseeing client status reports, meeting notes, sell-in strategies, project plans, quarterly reviews and proposals
  • Overseeing news releases, feature notes, social media content and photo-call notices plus media reports and longer-copy materials, messaging grids
  • Develop and grow your team’s skills and knowledge of integrated communications
  • Managing and mentoring team members
  • Lead projects from development, sign off and execution specifically identifying project plans, roles and responsibilities and being able to delegate clearly and effectively  
  • Write briefs and verbally articulate opportunity with other teams across the business 
  • Prepare and manage budgets including tracking spend and margins
  • Oversee completion of all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g. contracts) 
  • Drive your team to be selling-in news stories and feature ideas 
  • Monitor project progress and handle any issues/ challenges with clients/ campaigns/ spokespeople that arise
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all parties both internal and external

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Proven experience as an Account/ Senior Account Manager role for at least one year
  • Experience working on integrated communications
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels; with strong verbal communication skills, and ability to write appropriately for differing requirements (including proposals, press releases, case studies, etc)
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as manage others effectively within it
  • Previous experience of managing a team of at least two people
  • Ability to prepare client documentation, schedules, step-by-step action plans as well as client proposals
  • Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • A good working knowledge of your clients’ businesses and objectives so you can hold your own in meetings with senior-level clients
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes (including Excel & PPT), and media planning and tracking tools eg Gorkana, Kantar, Celebrity Intelligence,
  • Strong client-facing and teamwork skills, comfortable presenting
