About the role

The role of the EMEA Communications Manager is to lead and execute the communications plan for the Personal Systems business unit of HP in the region. This includes strategic planning and development of story-telling campaigns supporting HP’s overall growth initiatives, management of HP executives and product communications, with the ultimate objective of increasing HP’s brand awareness, preference and sales.

The role is also responsible for mapping content, campaigns, influencer outreach and strategic media/analysts engagements as well as driving the executive visibility programme for the HP PS EMEA lead. The successful leader will build strong relationships with a highly matrixed group of stakeholders at regional and WW level. Communication campaigns will address; media, analysts, social media, brand journalism and influencer’s engagement plans to position HP innovations, business growth and thought leadership in the areas of PCs, Workstations, Immersive Computing and Innovations. These will be a mix of B2C and B2B campaigns.

The EMEA Communications Manager will work closely with the Worldwide Communications teams, EMEA Marketing and EMEA Management to ensure that all relevant communications activities are aligned with the business and marketing priorities. Supporting communications in 24 countries in EMEA, the successful candidate will work with the local HP communications manager and a network of communication agencies to ensure effective delivery of plans and KPIs. The EMEA Communications Manager will also be responsible for effective and tight budget management and will work closely with team peers across EMEA to ensure best practice is shared and collaboration is maximised.

The role will mainly be based in the London greater area. International travel will be required.

  • 7+ years’ experience in communications in the technology sector
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills
  • Creativity, curiosity, and innovative thinking
  • Expertise in social media and brand journalism
  • Experience in managing campaigns at an EMEA level
  • Rigorous planning and analytics to track & assess performance of communications
  • Deep expertise in communications strategy and approaches
  • Ability to foster trusted relationships with leaders and subject matter experts
  • Collaborative working style, across levels and areas of responsibility
