Job Details

Universities UK is offering an exciting opportunity for a media relations professional with a strong track record for achieving proactive coverage across a range of publications and platforms to join the team.

The post holder will secure high-impact media national and regional coverage and will have shared responsibility for UUK’s drafting social media content across all strands of our work, so hands-on experience of social media platforms is a must.

We are looking for an individual who can spot a great story, write compelling releases, and adapt their writing style for everything from articles and letters to blogs and tweets. Good knowledge of a wide range of publications and media organisations is important, as is the ability to build new relationships to generate positive coverage.

The post holder will also support the Senior Press and Social Media Officer to ensure that the media team plans, monitors and evaluates its media coverage and social media influence for UUK members and colleagues. The post holder is also responsible for the maintenance and development of effective administrative systems – including our daily headlines service for members.

The recruit will play an important role in delivering our new five-year strategic plan

Interviews will take place on Wednesday 03 October 2018.
