Job Details

Our client is the leading provider of school-based mental health support and professional development to improve the emotional well-being of children and young people, families, teachers and school staff. It plays a key role in ensuring that schools and communities are ‘mentally healthy’ environments where all children and young people can thrive and flourish. At a time when mental health is an increasingly high-profile issue, it has never been more important to ensure that schools are fully equipped to provide emotional and therapeutic support to children, their families and staff.

As part of the organisation’s expansion plans and their long-term strategy, they would like to hire a Director of Marketing and Communications to facilitate the delivery of their vision of all schools nationally having access to high-quality mental health support.

The role’s key responsibility is to develop a marketing and communications strategy that encompasses the following:

  •          Marketing – events, publications, social media, market research and data analysis
  •          Communications – media relations, stakeholder engagement, digital, crisis and issues management
  •          Brand strategy
  •          Reputation management
  •          Employee engagement and change communication

The successful candidate will need to have a track record that demonstrates Director-level experience across all digital, marketing and communications disciplines and channels, ideally within the context of third sector/charity and service delivery. The ability to advise at Board level and to lead a multi-disciplinary team is equally important. The role sits on the Executive team and is integral to providing direction and leadership for staff throughout the organisation.

It’s an opportunity to play a critical role in an organisation that is already a tremendous force for good and is continuing to evolve its services to ensure that it is able to support the UK’s most vulnerable children and families.

Our client is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
