The Communications and Stakeholder Relations Director will lead on the development and delivery of the communications strategy across the Magnox business, and will work closely with the NDA team to manage all external communications. They will also take the lead on stakeholder relations across a large and diverse range of stakeholder groups associated with each Magnox site, working with local communities to ensure that they are engaged with site plans and that their views are considered by the Magnox leadership team, as well as managing a budget to support local communities. They will sit as a key member of the Executive team, so will also contribute to strategic decision-making to support the delivery of the decommissioning programme.

You will be an experienced communications leader, with a proven track record of devising both internal and external communications strategies for varied audiences. You will be able to engage with community stakeholders ensuring that their voices are listened to  and are used to shape future communications, and will bring the level of diplomacy and political ‘nous’ required to engage with senior political figures at a local and national level. You will also be able to demonstrate an ability to think strategically beyond the communications function, contributing to broader business strategy and direction.
