This high-profile international property company is looking for a confident Group Communications Manager to support the communications of a new tone of voice and a refreshed brand across the globe. It’s a 12 month contract to cover a parental leave and they are looking for someone to start in November.  You will advise and support this rather special organisation communicate strategies globally and help shape up the website content and communicatons literature to reflect their impressive social impact.  They have a great reputation and this role is key to promoting and protecting it.  They are open to considering Corporate Account Directors from a consultancy or PR Managers from busy in-house corporate communications teams.  Experience in property is ideal although they are open to professional services and financial services.

This prestigious privately-owned property company develops, manages and invests in property globally. They own swathes of London and further afield and have a beautiful office in the West End. Through investment and redevelopment their profits have seen impressive levels of growth year on year and they are proud of their social impact. The friendly corporate communications function sits across all the businesses and they need cover for a 12 month maternity leave and your media relations judgement and impressive writing and editing skills will be required.

The Role 

Key challenges and opportunities in this Interim Group Communications Manager - pretigious property - 

  • This is a really broad corporate communications role which requires sound media judgement for executing external and internal stategies across the globe
  • You will ensure best practice communications across the business in relation to social media strategy, media evaluation and issues and crisis management 
  • Manage and edit features on the corporate website and the company’s intranet
  • Take a lead role in the drafting of communications materials for the annual review
  • Some media relations support, keeping in mind the purpose and great reputation of the business
  • Contribute to the management of reputation issues
  • There will be some internal communications of course
  • An external PR agency will support on day-to-day media relations and they will require direction
  • Effortless, first-class writing is a requirement for developing a wide range of documentation including releases, content for the website and intranet

The Person

Key attributes and experience for this Interim Group Communications Manager – contract role:

  • You must have strong media relations abilities available to start mid-November ideally
  • It's likely that you will be working as an Account Director in an agency looking to move in-house to broaden your skills and expertise
  • Or you could be working in a busy, high profile press office, looking to work for one of the best property firms in London
  • You will need experience in property or professional services or financial services 
  • Some interest in sustainability and social impact is desirable
  • Highly proactive, well organised and confident in handling several responsibilities at once
  • Social media abiliites and be able to advise the group about ‘best practice’ of use and engagement 
  • Solid media contacts will be required, sector is less important, nationals are ideal
  • A confident operator with an enthusiastic attitude and great persuasive skills
  • You will be a natural ambassador, committed to quality and superb attention to detail
  • There must be no doubt over your exemplary writing skills which will be tested on interview
