Director- Issues/Reputation

A leading independent agency is looking for an ambitious Director or Associate Director to join their fast-growing team. This is a fantastic agency, who prides itself on having a very high profile client portfolio across the travel and leisure, retail, fintech, property and infrastructure and education spaces. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone take on a pivotal role within the issues and reputation side of this agency, whilst building and leading their own team.  They would sit on the management board and, working with the rest of the team, drive the development and growth of the issues and reputation work within this agency.  The right candidate for this position will demonstrate real commercial intellect and a strong entrepreneurial spirit; someone who has a strong track record in reputation management with some heavy weight crisis and issues experience - including liaising with legal teams.

As Director or Associate Director, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing senior level crisis and issues counsel to clients
• Developing and consulting on messaging, Q&A’s, narrative documents, press information etc
• Running media training for clients (internally and with external suppliers as appropriate)
• Providing an extremely high level of rigour in client service
• Proactively seeking new income opportunities and lead and run new business pitches
• Building and leading a team and being responsible for their career development

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Having previous direct experience as a journalist and an understanding of media law preferred but not essential.
• Real commercial intellect and a strong entrepreneurial spirit;
• Someone who has a strong track record in reputation management with some heavy weight crisis and issues experience - including liaising with legal teams.
• Kind intentions and a great sense of humour!
