An award-winning healthcare policy and communications consultancy is looking for an Account Director to join their team!  This truly is a fantastic agency, who’s services range from market access communications and strategy development, public affairs and digital communications, through to media campaigns and clinical advocacy.  This role is the ideal opportunity for an ambitious individual who wants to work alongside a team of motivated and driven consultants, with unrivalled first-hand PR and PA experience. The health team at this agency has an ever-expanding list of clients, and this is a truly exciting time to join as they are currently expanding!

As Director your responsibilities will include:

  • Directing key clients and specific projects
  • Working together with our clients to develop political, stakeholder and media strategies
  • Building up close relations with clients
  • Attending meetings with clients
  • Contributing pivotal insight to proposals, pitches and attending networking events.
  • Acting as senior counsel to clients, supporting the development of their communications strategies as a whole and overseeing all client contact
  • Providing leadership and guidance to colleagues whilst also identifying development and training opportunities for the team
  • Shaping and steering the strategy for clients’ ongoing engagement with the media, analyst and investor community
  • Devising and delivering strategies to use social media/digital channels to deliver client objectives
  • Growing existing and winning new business, leading on pitches and networking for leads

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong PR experience in health
  • Excellent media relations skills with strong contacts in in national print and broadcast
  • The ability to manage large accounts and clients
  • Excellent client servicing and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, as well as being proficient in word, excel and the use of databasing.
