The Role

Key challenges and opportunities in this PR Manager role:

• Be a key lifeline at one of the busiest press offices in the UK, liaising and coordinating regional property and retail stories with b2b and b2c teams within the company
• Devise and implement PR strategies and act as an ambassador on a proactive and reactive basis – they are without doubt the leader in the field and have a superb reputation to maintain
• You will need to build rapport fast – your role will include not only senior stakeholders but close liaison with clients and their PR teams
• Hold strong media relations across the national, trades and local press – you will be speaking to journalists, correspondents of key regional newspapers and online journals, attending regional events, media interviews, research seminars and briefings
• Assist with the functionalities of running media relations for such a high-profile company, from media lists, updating the website to translating and sending out press releases
• This role includes monthly travel around the UK so you won’t be tied to your desk

The Person

Key attributes and experience for this PR Manager role:

• You must be at least at Senior Account Manager level at a corporate agency or working in-house as a Press Officer or newly appointment PR Manager with property and/or retail experience
• Be able to deal well under pressure and thrive in a busy press office
• Have natural confidence along with a genuine and enthusiastic attitude
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce quality work quickly
• Willing to travel around the UK monthly
