Media Trainer / Leadership Coach

At the heart of this 250+ team is a business unit purely focused on ensuring their campaigns are developed with the right research at their heart.

Made up of a team of scientific minds and media experts they are currently looking for a an ex-journalist who  has had some exposure to working in communications to join their  team.

With a national news background you’ll have the gravitas required to control a room and work alongside the CEOs of some the world’s biggest brands. The team has created a full portfolio of training  tools to  ensure the individuals heading up large corporates are able to adequately defend their reputations and safeguard them from media scrutiny and also give them the confidence and etiquette required to be the  face of the organisation they  lead.

Full requirements:

• Experience in news journalism at a national level, ideally including specific experience in business news reporting. 
• Ideally at least eight years of experience as a journalist. 
• Additional experience delivering media training will be useful, but not essential.
• Comfortable working one-to-one at board or CEO level (incl. FTSE 100 companies).
• Confidence to carry the room when conversations are difficult, 
• Analytical skills to understand problems swiftly and offer solutions, and the personal skills to deliver criticism to senior people in a constructive way. 
• Able to prepare senior clients for specific media interviews, ranging from print briefings to flagship TV and radio programmes. The successful candidate must be at ease adapting his or her style to reflect the media format in question and to meet the trainee’s needs to ensure a successful outcome. 
• Be an exceptionally confident presenter who can suitably persuade, influence and solve problems for senior clients and colleagues across a number of sectors. 
• Ability to strengthen client relationships, spot opportunities and help unlock new business and growth opportunities.
